God is in Haiti!

A small group of seven individuals consisting of 2 from Bethel Christian Church (Bethel MO) along with 5 from Encounter Christian Church (Cedar Rapids IA) headed to Gonaives Haiti the first week of February. We were invited by Salonique Adolphe to Living Water Christian Church and Academy for their 7th Annual Celebration.

Salonique is a Haitian native and graduate of Central Christian College of the Bible. He has been very busy over the last seven years starting a church that now averages over 500 on Sunday mornings which is a mega church by Haiti’s standards. He also has started a Christian Academy with over 500 students, a tech school, and a Christian Bible Seminary.

The trip was an amazing success for the Kingdom of God. We were able to share the love of Christ and encouragement in each classroom. We spent roughly 15 minutes in each. Our team preached at the Sunday service, assisted in preparing food for the over 2000 worshipers, played with the children and did various work projects.

In light of the devastating earthquake - we now better understand why God sent us to this country He desperately loves. Our basic message the whole week was - you're not alone, God will never leave your non forsake you!
